How the “Neue Eisenstädter” became a political issue

The case surrounding the Burgenland non-profit property developer Neue Eisenstädter continues to raise questions. As a reminder: The state of Burgenland, as the supervisory authority, reported the results of a special audit a few days ago in the form of the state governor himself, Hans-Peter Doskozil. Several potential violations of the Non-Profit Housing Act (WGG) were discovered, said Doskozil, who then also commissioned an in-depth review. The state also sent a government commissioner to the housing association. However, they have now filed a complaint against this.
