José Manuel Anes on his daughter's attempted murder: "'You're going to die', that's all she said"

José Manuel Anes, former president of the Observatory of Security, Organized Crime and Terrorism (OSCOT), recounts in an exclusive interview with SIC the moments of terror he experienced on October 20, when he was the victim of an attempted murder by his own daughter.

The former president of was the victim of a last October 20th. José Manuel Anes was estabbed by his own daughter and was admitted in serious condition to Hospital de São José, in Lisbon.

Almost a month later, in an interview with SIC Notícias, José Manuel Anes details the attempted murder of which he was a victim. He says that, when he opened the door of a friend’s house where he was staying, he was pushed by daughterwho attacked him for 15 to 20 minutes. “I asked for help several times (…) the beating was so bad that I didn’t even notice the stab wounds”he stated.

“When she runs away in fear of the police, I lie there for almost two hours, unable to get up, bleeding.”

He adds that, during the attacks, his daughter, Ana Anes, repeated “with a hallucinated air” the phrase “you’re going to die” and believes that the attempted murder was “planned to the millimeter”. Reit still hurts before and after the attack, in which he insinuated that he had killed his father.

It reports that, in addition to physical injuries, including damage to tendons in the hand, small intestine, leg and a bruise on the brainthere is also a moral pain difficult to overcome: “This is a difficult one to get through.
