The mayor of São Paulo, , attended this Saturday (15) the beginning of the ninth edition of “Inclui Sampa”, a joint effort by City Hall that offers various services for people with disabilities. Nunes classified the incident as a criminal action related to the illegal storage of explosives and balloons, and highlighted that the city hall is already mobilized to assist the victims of the explosion, offering emergency support through registration to receive assistance cards, coordinated by the Housing Department. “It is a vulnerable region, with many middle-class families, and the city hall is doing its part to ensure that everyone affected receives the necessary support,” said Nunes.
The mayor also made an appeal to the population, highlighting the importance of citizen collaboration in preventing future similar episodes. “It is essential that people report any suspicion of illegal activities, such as storing fireworks. If anyone notices anything strange, they should report it to city hall”, he highlighted.
Nunes referred to zoning and land use laws approved by the São Paulo City Council, which regulate the type of commercial activity permitted in each region of the city. He emphasized that compliance with these standards is crucial to prevent the irregular operation of establishments that put the safety of the community at risk.
