In addition to Carlos, the senator (PP-SC), a name defended by the governor, and the federal deputy (PL-SC) stand as pre-candidates for the Senate on Jorginho’s ticket.
To resolve this impasse, national PL leaders began to suggest that Amin be a candidate for vice-governor and that the second Senate vacancy be used to attract the PSD.
The idea of this PL wing would be to attract the mayor of Chapecó, João Rodrigues (PSD), to the ticket as a candidate for senator. Today, Rodrigues has said that he aims to run for government against Jorginho in 2026.

The assessment of national PL leaders is that Caroline de Toni is still young — she is 39 years old. For this reason, it would have time to reach greater heights in future elections.
