According to , the Minister of Labor has assets of 5.36 million euros; that of Justice 4.4 million euros; and the Environment more than 1.81 million euros.
The morning newspaper analyzed the income statements that the members of the Executive submitted to the Entity for Transparency (EpT), after taking office, and concluded that the fortunes of the three aforementioned government officials represent 55% (11.58 million euros) of the total fortune of the 17 ministers (20.9 million).
In the analysis, the following assets were taken into account: amounts declared in financial investments, securities portfolios, term deposits and demand deposits above 50 minimum wages; Tax Asset Value (VPT) attributed to properties by the Tax Authority (AT); credit rights; and works of art.
Luis Montenegro is the seventh with the greatest wealth (more than 1.3 million). Ahead of the Prime Minister are the Foreign Ministers, Paulo Rangel (more than 1.5 million), Agriculture and Sea, José Manuel Fernandes (more than 1.4 million), and the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro (about 1.4 million)
According to the analysis, the ‘poorest’ minister is that of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luzwith assets of 28 thousand euros.
