They talked together about the current situation in the Middle East, while also touching on the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. “It took place an extensive exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East region, including developments in the Gaza Strip in connection with the implementation of the agreement on the ceasefire and the exchange of detainees, on the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program and on issues related to the promotion of further stabilization in Syria.” it is stated in the statement of the Kremlin.

According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, the conversation was initiated by the Russian side. Neither Russia nor Israel gave more details.
