The President of Ukraine, said, this Sunday (16), that Ukraine will receive gas imports from Greece to help meet the country’s winter needs.
“We have already prepared an agreement with the company on the supply of gas to Ukraine, which will be another supply route to guarantee imports during the winter. We already have agreements in place to finance gas imports of almost US$2 billion needed to compensate for the losses in Ukrainian production caused by the Russian attacks”, informed the president.
Zelensky’s statement was made before his visit to Greece this Sunday, from where he will later head to Aea Spain.
The leader also stated that Kiev allocated funds for gas imports from European partners and banks, with guarantees from European Commissionas well as from Ukrainian banks, and which is also working with partners to secure full financing.
Ukraine is expanding its winter supply options through Polish partners, with whom it cooperates and , in hopes of securing long-term contracts, he added.
