“There are more than 150 academic ERP companies operating in the country, but few with updated technology, scale and investment capacity”, says the CEO of Gennera, Paulo Sponchiado. “The merger between Gennera and QI Solution responds to this scenario with a proposal for national consolidation, bringing together expertise, structure and portfolio under the same strategy, this is unprecedented in this vertical, we know the difficulties and risks, but we know the business.”

In addition to the operational and regulatory focus, academic ERPs need to meet specific demands of formal education, such as digital enrollment, communication with families, pedagogical management, automated billing, educational reports and integration with content platforms. Therefore, the company reinforces its specialization thesis, maintaining integration with market ERPs and more than 25 partner edtechs.

Gennera’s plans for the coming years involve expanding its operations nationally in a private education market of 42,000 primary schools and approximately 2,200 higher education schools in Brazil, totaling around R$200 billion per year in monthly fees. New funding from strategic investors is on the radar to sustain growth via mergers and acquisitions in different regions.

“This ecosystem has been undergoing structural changes, with an increasing focus on operational efficiency, digitalization of processes and financial sustainability”, says Sponchiado. Today the company has clients in states such as Santa Catarina, Bahia, Piauí and the Federal District.

For Gabriel Barreto, former CEO of QI Solution and now vice-president of the Gennera Group, the Brazilian educational system is historically poorly prepared in the administrative and management sectors, although the scenario is changing.
