Germany lifts restrictions on arms exports to Israel

Berlin – The federal government is lifting restrictions on the export of military equipment to Israel. “The federal government welcomes the ceasefire in Gaza that came into force on October 10th and has stabilized in recent weeks,” government spokesman Stefan Kornelius told the Reuters news agency on Monday. “The restriction on arms exports to Israel announced on August 8th will be lifted,” he added. This applies from November 24th. “In its decision on arms exports, the federal government will generally return to examining individual cases and react to further developments.”
