Actually, EU citizens are not allowed to be discriminated against based on their nationality; They must all have the same access to the same services under the same conditions throughout the Union. But cable car operators have been offering special tariffs for locals for at least the same time now – a practice that is probably illegal and for which tourism experts are now, once again, hoping for legal certainty from Brussels.
