Security camera footage recorded the shootout between the Military Police and a group of suspects in the early hours of this Monday (17), on Avenida Eliseu de Almeida, in Vila Sônia, West zone of São Paulo.
In the images, it is possible to see when a police vehicle overtakes the car where the individuals were. According to the PM, one of the suspects shot at the officers, who reacted. According to the video, the four occupants run away after the exchange of gunfire.

According to the corporation, one of them died at the scene and two others were injured. Furthermore, a man was arrested and a woman escaped. In the images, it is possible to see that the woman gets into a car that was stopped at the light to escape.

who were involved in the shooting they did not suffer any type of injury. The weapons used by the group were seized at the scene.
Criminal passages
According to the PM, among the suspects identified, one had already been indicted for murder and robbery in 2013 and 2019. He escaped from prisonwas recaptured in 2023 and, in 2025, he committed crimes again, being indicted for receiving possession of goods.
Another, who was injured in the action, began committing robberies still as a teenager in 2009and as an adult he was arrested for robbery in 2016 and drug trafficking in 2019. The second injured person is from the state of Bahia and his antecedents are being investigated using criminal databases.
The suspect who died has not yet been identified. The woman who managed to escape was also identified as a participant in a previous robbery, but has not yet been located.
A 9mm caliber pistol and two revolvers were found in the group. Furthermore, the vehicle used had been stolen on the 5th November and was used on the 12th in new robbery of a perfume storewhen the criminals captured employees, locked them in the warehouse and took products from the store.
Avenida Eliseu de Almeida, which was closed during the morning, was reopened around 9:40 am.
