Cold front advances over Acre and promises new cold from this Monday; check it out

Starting this Monday (17), Acre may face a new incursion of cold air, a phenomenon known in the region as friagem. The change in the atmospheric pattern should cause a drop in temperature mainly in Rio Branco, where the population has already felt the milder climate in the early hours of the day. The information is from the website O Tempo Aqui, by Davi Friale.

The cold front advances through the Amazon region and encounters high humidity, which favors the formation of dense clouds and the possibility of rapid rain throughout the day. The most noticeable effect, however, will be the thermal decline: cooler mornings, a feeling of cold at dawn and lower temperatures at night. Inland, the intensity of the cold may vary depending on the municipality. Areas of the Acre Valley, such as Brasileia, Epitaciolândia and Xapuri, may also record a slight drop in temperatures. Regions of Juruá tend to feel less impact, although the sky remains more closed and with occasional showers.

The change should not cause intense cold as in previous waves, but it will be enough to break the pattern of strong heat that was being recorded in the state. The expectation is that the milder weather will remain for a few days, especially in the early hours, before the heat gradually returns.

Meteorologists reinforce that this type of cold air entry can still occur in November, despite being less common, and always draws the attention of Acre residents due to the sudden change in weather — typical of Amazonian cold weather.
