Jards Ante Silva was born in in 1943 and began his career in the 1960s, and became known as the “crooked angel of MPB”. He is the author of the hits “Vapor Barato”, “Hotel das Estrelas”, “Anjo Exterminado” and “Mal Secreto”. He stood out in 1696 with the performance of “Gotham City” at the IV International Song Festival. Despite his nickname, Jards had a hybrid aesthetic, moving between rock, samba, jazz, blues, baião and song.
