Election for MPAC’s new attorney general takes place this Tuesday; meet the candidates

This Tuesday (18), from 8 am to 5 pm, the election will take place to choose the new Attorney General of the Public Ministry of Acre (MPAC), for the 2026-2028 biennium.

The election is carried out electronically, using the VOTUS system. Each MPAC member may vote for up to three candidates.

The candidates are (in alphabetical order): Álvaro Luiz Araújo Pereira (public prosecutor), Cosmo Lima de Souza (public prosecutor), Glaucio Ney Shiroma Oshiro (public prosecutor), Marcela Cristina Ozório (public prosecutor) and Oswaldo D’Albuquerque Lima Neto (public prosecutor).

The triple list, made up of the three candidates with the most votes, will be forwarded to the State governor, who will be responsible for appointing the new attorney general.
