The Perseu Abramo Foundation, linked to the PT, and the party’s National Secretariat, will hold the seminar “Climate Justice and the Brazilian Northeast” on December 3rd.
The chosen location was , the Brazilian capital most threatened by rising sea levels, according to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
“The objective is to consolidate knowledge and strengthen understanding about the vulnerabilities and potential of the Northeast region, thus contributing to thinking and proposing sustainable and inclusive solutions in the face of the climate emergency”, says the president of the Perseu Abramo Foundation, Paulo Okamotto.
The meeting will have the participation of experts, such as Aldrin Perez, researcher at the National Semiarid Institute of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Brazilian scientific correspondent at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
