Hamas regrets approval of Trump’s peace plan: ‘Does not respond to Palestinian rights’

The did not react positively to the Security Council’s approval of the peace plan. According to them, the resolution does not respond to the demands and rights of the Palestinians. “The resolution imposes an international guardianship mechanism on the Gaza Strip, which our people, its forces and its components reject, and imposes a mechanism aimed at achieving Israel’s objectives,” the group said in a statement. The UN Security Council approved, this Monday (17), by 13 votes in favor, President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, which includes:
Sending an international force and a path to a future Palestinian state;
Creation of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) that would work with Israel and Egypt;
Newly trained Palestinian police officers to help secure border areas and demilitarize the Gaza Strip;
Formation of a “Peace Board”, a transitional governing body for Gaza — chaired, in theory, by Trump — with a mandate until the end of 2027;
