We are increasingly reading reports that our healthcare system is on the verge of financial collapse. The causes are likely to be diverse: an aging population, an increasing lack of health literacy and thus an overload of the system with trivial concerns, increasing bureaucracy, but also structural disincentives. There is little that can be done about the demographic development – I would therefore be interested to see what concrete suggestions there are from the community to counteract this development. There are many ideas: for example, moderate deductibles, stricter access regulations to specialized examinations, more task shifting to care/physiotherapy, digital triage systems or completely different reforms. In your opinion, which measures would be sensible, realistic and socially acceptable? And where would you have to start so that the system remains stable in the long term?
