iFood and Uber began the integration between their applications this Monday (17th). From now on, users of the Belo Horizonte delivery app will be able to access Uber trips directly through the app. The new feature should reach all cities where the companies are present by January of next year. In Rio de Janeiro, the feature will be launched in December.
According to the platforms, the choice of Belo Horizonte to debut the functionality is due to the fact that it is one of the two companies’ most relevant operations in the country. The idea is that the lessons learned in the capital of Minas Gerais will guide the next steps of national expansion.
In addition to Rio de Janeiro, in December, consumers in São Paulo, Brasília, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Campinas, Goiânia, Recife, Porto Alegre and Salvador will start to view Uber within iFood. By the end of the same month, the expectation is that access will also be possible in the opposite direction, within the Uber app, in these capitals.

In practice, within iFood, the user will find the “Races” icon. When the iFood app is integrated with Uber, an “iFood” tab will appear.
Special subscription plan
In addition to the integration between apps, companies now offer a special subscription plan, which brings together Clube iFood and Uber One, for R$21.90. The new offer includes benefits for both Uber trips and iFood orders and follows the same expansion schedule as the new experience between November and January (check below).
According to the companies, combo subscribers will have access to five R$10 coupons valid for all restaurants, free shipping in markets and pharmacies, extra coupons of up to R$21.90 in various establishments, in addition to exclusive daily promotions and discounts.
They will also receive 10% of the value of their return trips in Uber credits, access to top-rated driver partners and other benefits. In addition, users will be entitled to two monthly discounts of 25% (limited to R$5) on Uber Comfort and Black trips.
To subscribe to the combo, simply access the iFood app, enter your profile and select “iFood Club”. In the Uber app, you need to go to the “Account” tab and click on “Uber One”.
