Influencer faces fine after storming the red carpet and grabbing Ariana Grande

The man who invaded the red carpet at the premiere of the musical “Wicked: For Good”, in Singapore, and grabbed Ariana Grande has been formally charged with public nuisance, the BBC said. The episode, which quickly went viral, shows Johnson Wen, a 26-year-old Australian influencer, pushing photographers and security guards and approaching the singer, only to be pushed away by actress Cynthia Erivo, co-star of the production.

According to the local press, Wen was detained at the time of the incident and released shortly afterwards, but ended up being charged in a Singapore court. The Australian must plead guilty and does not have a lawyer. If convicted, you may have to pay a fine equivalent to around 1300 euros.

Johnson Wen is known for sharing videos in which he interrupts public figures’ concerts and events, having already taken the stage at performances by Katy Perry in Sydney and The Weeknd in Melbourne.
