The possibility of Yuri Alberto leaving Corinthians for European football next season has gained momentum again in recent days. The situation gained more prominence after André Cury, the striker’s agent, traveled to Italy, which reignited speculation about a possible deal involving the player.
According to information from ESPN, Yuri Alberto was not the central theme of Cury’s trip. The agent would also have dealt with other matters and possible negotiations in Europe.
Roma is the main club to keep Yuri Alberto on their radar. The Italians have already shown interest previously and should look for a new number 9 in the next transfer window. The fact that the Brazilian has a European passport also counts in his favor, as he would not occupy a foreign place in the squad.

Yuri Alberto are you going to Rome?
When he expressed interest in having Yuri Alberto, in September this year, Roma signaled an offer of 30 million euros (around R$190.7 million).
However, Corinthians refused the proposal, and negotiations did not prosper. It is worth mentioning that Timão only owns 50% of the player’s economic rights.
Another relevant factor is the debt that the São Paulo club still owes to André Cury. This financial commitment can influence any future negotiations, as it involves cross responsibilities between agent and club.
Despite the entire scenario, so far there has been no formal proposal from the Italian team for the Brazilian striker.
Behind the scenes about Yuri Alberto’s possible departure
The possible sale also had repercussions internally at Corinthians and among figures linked to the club. Former player and idol Neto recently commented on the matter and stated that he believes that Yuri Alberto’s departure is practically certain. For him, the striker should even move to Roma at the end of the season.
Neto even speculated values higher than those already offered, saying that the negotiation could be around 40 million euros, although the previous official figure was lower.
