Miguel Oliveira said goodbye to MotoGP with an 11th place in the Gran Premio de la Comunidad Valenciana, the last race of the 2025 season. The Portuguese rider closed the championship in 20th place, with 43 points, in a season dominated by Marc Márquez’s seventh title.
This goodbye ends a 15-year career in the World Speed Championship, during which Oliveira participated in 247 races, won 17 victories and stood on the podium 41 times, having passed through all categories, from 125cc to MotoGP. Among its highest moments are triumphs in Portugal, Styria, Catalonia, Thailand and Indonesia, as well as the historic first victory of the Tech3 KTM team in MotoGP, in 2020.
From 2026, the driver from Almada will compete in the Superbike World Championship, remaining on the international stage, but this time with series bikes. Oliveira thus leaves a unique mark on Portuguese motorcycling: he is the only national rider to win victories in the World Speed Championship.
