Sánchez ratifies "Spain's commitment to Ukraine" with three new aid packages for 817 million euros

There is no better way todemonstrate Spain’s commitment with Ukraine”. Pedro Sánchez has announced the approval of a triple batch of economic aid worth 817 million to kyiv taking advantage of Volodimir Zelensky’s visit.

This Tuesday, both leaders appeared after a day of numerous meetings and events by Zelensky, who previously met with the king, with the authorities in Congress and with businessmen. There was also time for a “symbolic” private session with Sánchez to visit the Guernica by Picasso.

Already in La Moncloa and after a brief meeting between the two, Sánchez and Zelenski renewed the bilateral alliance with a broad aid package quantified in 817 million and focused on military aid and reconstruction from Ukraine.

The first will reach an amount of 615 millionwhile another 200 million will be allocated for reconstruction, plus a third batch of 2 million as part of a program de la ONU to recover heating systems in areas devastated by Russian attacks.
