On Tuesday, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip. which, according to her, will bring peace and prosperity. She spoke after the Security Council of the United Nations (UNSC) approved a resolution supporting this peace plan in New York on Monday. “We believe that President Trump’s plan will lead to peace and prosperity as he insists on the complete demilitarization, disarmament and deradicalization of Gaza.” said Netanyahu’s office on the X network.
“In line with President Trump’s vision, this will lead to the further integration of Israel and its neighbors, as well as the expansion of the Abrahamic Accords,” he added. The 2020 Abraham Accords normalized Israel’s relations with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco. The US President announced in November that Kazakhstan would join these agreements.
Netanyahu’s office also said that The “courage and sacrifice” of Israeli soldiers, along with Trump’s diplomatic efforts, helped return all the living and most of the dead hostages from Gaza. He stated that expects to hand over the remaining remains of the bodies of the hostages. Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza envisages the disarmament of the Palestinian militant movement Hamas, the deployment of the International Stabilization Force and the establishment of a peace council – a transitional governing body for the Gaza Strip.
