Uber and 99 announced, this Tuesday (18), the resumption of motorcycle services via app in the city of São Paulo. The services will be valid from December 11th. In September, the Court determined a period of 90 days for the activity to be regularized by the City Hall. Uber and 99 stated that City Hall has not, to date, created a regulatory project.
In a statement, the City Hall stated that it is against the motorcycle taxi service in the city, and reinforced that it is an unregulated, dangerous activity that has recorded accidents and deaths of countless passengers. The City Hall.

In a statement, Uber declared that “for more than two years you have been prevented from taking advantage of benefits such as less time in traffic, more savings and the security offered by the app-based motorcycle service that is available throughout Brazil, except in your city, due to a ban imposed by São Paulo City Hall“
The two main companies in the sector, Uber and 99, stated that they support updated regulation of the service, without compromising a transport option that expands the population mobility.
