The companies participated in some of the biggest projects in the capital of Minas Gerais.

Over the last 15 years, according to official information from the company, Grupo Multipar has invested in companies and startups in segments as diverse as: education, waste treatment, mining and management of hotels and cemeteries.

According to Daniel himself, in interviews, however, the family was middle class. His maternal grandparents were civil servants and his paternal grandparents were prosthetics. Even so, Daniel studied at Fundação Torino, an elite school in the capital of Minas Gerais. Graduated, he studied economics at Ibmec in Belo Horizonte.

In an interview with Piauí magazine, Vorcaro said he felt like a foreigner on Avenida Faria Lima, the financial center of São Paulo. Despite this, the miner, who turned 42 on October 6, has been traveling around financial centers for almost a decade.

Its official entry into the market took place in 2016, when Banco Máxima, then owned by Paul Sabbá, was offered to Daniel. Sabbá and Vorcaro already worked together in real estate funds, the newcomer agreed to enter the business first as a minority. The following year, it took control – which was only approved by the Central Bank almost two years later.

In 2021, Daniel changed the name from Máxima to Master and began to follow a bold growth strategy: he raised funds at high interest rates and invested in companies that were going through crisis, in search of a turnaround. With this strategy, the company invested in Light, Gafisa, Westwing and Oncoclínicas, among other companies. And it was heavily criticized.

In the same interview with Piauí, he stated that the criticism he received from market players was due to prejudice: “This happens because I am an outsider. And it’s not just prejudice. They are people who want to stop us and keep using bad things against us.” And he concluded: “The big question is whether you are capturing resources to do good things. And we are”, he stated, in the same interview.

Family

Daniel married young, at the age of 23, to his wife Fabíola, and has two teenage children, Stella and Tiziano. The eldest daughter’s 15th birthday party in 2023 caught the attention of the Minas Gerais press due to its extravagance and costs, which, according to estimates, reached R$15 million, and included, among the musical attractions, DJ Alok and the American duo The Chainsmokers.

Although he does not consider himself religious, he attends the Lagoinha Baptist Church and is a personal friend of pastor Márcio Valadão. His sister, Natália Vorcaro, is married to lawyer and pastor Fabiano Zettel, who owns the Moriah investment fund.
