Polish and allied military aircraft took off again in Nadran on Wednesday in response to Russian attacks in western Ukraine with the aim of ensuring the safety of Polish airspace. “In accordance with applicable procedures, the Armed Forces Operations Command activated the necessary forces and resources at its disposal. Available fighter pairs and early warning aircraft were dispatched. Ground-based air defense and radar surveillance systems have been put on high alert,” wrote the X operational command on the social network.
“These measures have a preventive nature and their goal is to secure and protect the airspace, especially in regions adjacent to threatened areas. The Armed Forces Operations Command is monitoring the current situation and the forces and resources under its command remain ready for an immediate response,” it added.
The Reuters agency reports that around 05:00 he was almost the entire territory of Ukraine declared a state of emergency due to the danger of Russian missile and drone attacks.
