The FC Barcelona-Eintracht Frankfurt, corresponding to the sixth day of the League phase of the Champions League, will be played on December 9, starting at 9:00 p.m., after UEFA has given its authorization, according to what the Barça club reported this Wednesday in a statement. This decision comes after FC Barcelona announced its return to the Camp Nou in the , which is played this Saturday, after obtaining the first occupancy license for Phase 1B, which allows it to expand the capacity of the Barça stadium to 45,401 spectators.
This license includes the entire Side area, adding to the one already granted in Phase 1A – which includes Grandstand and South Goal -, and becomes effective after UEFA has accepted the request of the Catalan entity considering that “all the necessary requirements are met.” As reported by FC Barcelona in the same statement, in the coming days it will inform about the release of tickets for the Champions League match, which is included in the 2025-26 season pass of the members who have purchased it.
Last October, Barça promoted a single pass, valid until the end of this season, which has allowed access to the Spotify Camp Nou and which gives the right to attend all the official matches of the men’s first team that are played at the Spotify Camp Nou starting from the match against Athletic Club, including those of LaLiga EA Sports, Copa del Rey and Champions League. “FC Barcelona celebrates being able to compete again in its stadium and continue advancing in the comprehensive transformation project of the new Spotify Camp Nou,” concluded the entity chaired by Joan Laporta, which plans to finish the work on the Camp Nou, and reach the maximum capacity of 105,000 spectators, at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027.
