O BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) informed that it will open next Friday (21) the consultation so that suppliers and companies Brazilian exporters affected by North American tariffs should check whether they are eligible for financing from the Sovereign Brazil Plan.
The approvals of credit for the program are already approaching R$8 billion.
The development bank recalls that the Brazilian government’s relief credit lines, including suppliers of exporters and companies with an impact of up to 1% of revenue resulting from the imposition of tariffs by the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
“As determined by President Lula, the BNDES has acted to mitigate the impacts of the Trump administration’s tariffs on the Brazilian economy, protecting our companies and jobs. within the scope of the Sovereign Brazil Plan”, declared the president of the BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, in a note.
Companies and suppliers can check credit eligibility from 8am this Friday (21st), via the website
“Interested parties will need to authenticate themselves using the GOV.BR platform, exclusively through the company’s digital certificate. After authentication, the system will inform whether the company is eligible and which solutions from the Sovereign Brasil Plan can be requested. With the results of the consultation, suppliers and exporters will be able to look for accredited financial institutions to request financial support”, advised the BNDES.
