Rapporteur of the (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) that investigates those of the (National Institute of Social Security), the deputy (União Brasil-AL) sees an attempt to fry the president of the body, by his deputy, Lea Bressy.
The statements reflect an assessment on the topic that is shared internally by those around the INSS president.
At the collegiate session this Tuesday (18), Gaspar cited criticisms made by Bressy to the press after the operation that targeted former president Alessandro Stefanutto in April this year.
“The press that investigates and reports has to be valued. Therefore, my people, I made a point of saying: Mrs. Lea Bressy is in a process along with others of frying the current president of the INSS to take over”, he stated.
“Her close relationship with many of those investigated… will be a disaster for Brazil if this lady takes over the INSS, as many powerful people want,” he continued. “So much so that the minister [da Previdência] is carrying out a series of acts even inviting the current president of the INSS. Reason: do you want Léa Bressy as president of the INSS? He cannot, he does not have the impartiality to preside over the INSS. It will be chaos.”
When questioned, the deputy informed, via advisor, that “according to information from within the Social Security structure, it [Bressy] is very close to Stefanutto”.
When contacted, the president of the INSS said he would not speak. The vice president also stated that she will not comment.
