The East Room of the White House only receives the highest figures. It was like that for Tuesday’s dinner, which required a tuxedo for the dinner in which Donald Trump hosted the prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
“This room is full of the greatest leaders in the world, from business, from sports”, said Donald Trump as soon as he stood at the microphone centered in the room.
Among them was Cristiano Ronaldo – his girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez -, who had not been seen publicly on North American soil since 2016, maintaining almost a decade of incognito, largely motivated by Kathryn Mayorga’s rape accusation.
The Portuguese star not only returned to the United States, but he did so in the highest style, with a reception at the White House alongside some of the most powerful people in the world.

Among them it was possible to see the vice president and the Secretary of State of the United States, of course, but JD Vance and Marco Rubio were small for so much celebrity. Elon Musk, whose relationship with Donald Trump seems to be on the way back to something more fruitful – he even received a friendly pat at the beginning – was also there. He is the richest man in the world.
Also there were the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, the secretaries of Defense and Treasury, Pete Hegseth and Scott Bessent, or even the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook.
Within all of these, Donald Trump decided to place the focus precisely on Cristiano Ronaldo, who was there as one of the members of the Saudi delegation. “You know, my son is a big fan of Ronaldo, wherever Ronaldo is”, said the president of the United States.
Words that had to travel a short distance, as Cristiano Ronaldo not only sat at Donald Trump’s table, but also sat next to the President of the United States, in the much more prominent place of Elon Musk or Tim Cook.
