The Israeli military carried out powerful airstrikes on two towns in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, witnesses said, intensifying a campaign of almost daily attacks in the border region where Israel says it is attacking Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militia.
The Israeli military claimed it was attacking “several Hezbollah terrorist infrastructures” in the region.
Earlier, the Israeli military had issued an evacuation order to residents of certain buildings in the southern villages of Deir Kifa and Chehour, amid what it called imminent attacks.
No immediate casualties have been reported in the latest attacks.
This Wednesday’s attack occurred at night in Lebanon, located in the city of Sidon. At least 13 people died, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
