He said, mid-morning this Tuesday, that the Judiciary Police (PJ) is carrying out searches at TAP and the transport company Barraqueiro.
The same channel adds that inspectors are also carrying out searches in consultancy companies and law firms.
At issue, according to the same channel, will be suspicions about the privatization process, in 2015in the final stretch of the PSD/CDS government, in which the airline was sold to a consortium led by businessmen David Neelman e Humberto Pedrosa.

O inquiry which runs in the Central Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DCIAP) originated from a complaint filedin 2023, by the then Ministers of Transport and Finance, Pedro Nuno Santos and Fernando Medina.
A TAP refused to comment on legal proceedings and assured to cooperate with the authorities in any and all investigations, following the searches: “TAP does not comment on legal proceedings and always collaborates with the authorities in any and all investigations”, replied an official airline source.
