Project that would increase notary fees is suspended at Aleac after pressure from the production sector

The Acre Business Forum, the Federation of Industries of Acre (Fieac), the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Acre (Faeac) and the Regional Council of Real Estate Brokers of Acre (Creci-AC) achieved an important advance for the productive sector by taking the debate on the reduction of notary fees and fees charged in the state to the Legislative Assembly of Acre (Aleac).

After articulation by representatives of the productive sector, the Court of Justice of Acre (TJ-AC) requested the suspension of the draft ordinary law that provides for the increase in rates.

The discussion on the topic began in December 2024, when the presidency of the Forum was at the Court of Justice of Acre (TJ-AC) to talk about the monetary correction in the emoluments table.

On the occasion, the Forum presented a study prepared by the initiative highlighting that Acre tends to have above-average notary costs in some areas, such as registration of public deeds and real estate development, considerably exceeding the amounts charged in other states.

In October, president Assuero Veronez, coordinator Tíssia Veloso and representatives of the Regional Council of Real Estate Brokers of Acre (Creci-AC) were at the Legislative Assembly of Acre (Aleac) to present the study and ask for support from deputies in the demand.

The delegation returned to Aleac on November 14th, together with federal deputy and president of Fieac, Zé Adriano, for a new meeting with state deputy Edvaldo Magalhães. Once again, the deputy reinforced his support and was sensitive to the cause.

The agenda, considered old and strategic for economic development, began to be discussed directly with state parliamentarians thanks to the coordination of the Forum, which has worked to correct distortions that affect businesspeople and citizens of Acre.

The Business Forum will continue to monitor the next stages of the discussion, with the aim of ensuring that the updated values are fair, plausible and generate positive results for those who produce and for the entire population of Acre.
