The national air carrier reports that operating revenues until September reached 3,281.3 million euros. This Wednesday, Air France-KLM formalized its interest in purchasing TAP.
TAP made a profit of 55.2 million euros in the first nine months of the year, the company announced this Wednesday. In relation to the third quarter, according to the data released, net results were positive and reached 126 million euros.
In a statement, the national air carrier states that operating revenues until September reached 3,281.3 million euros.
TAP also recorded an increase in the number of passengers. Until September, the company “carried a total of 12.7 million passengers, which represents an increase of 2.9% compared to the same period in 2024”.
Air France-KLM has already formalized its interest in purchasing TAP. SIC knows that the aviation group delivered this Tuesday to Parpública, the manager of the State’s shares in public companies, the expression of interest to participate in the privatization process of the Portuguese company.
An official source from Air France-KLM tells SIC that, once again, the group’s interest in this process is demonstrated and that they look forward to the next steps.
On the same day that Air France-KLM formalized its interest in buying TAP, a team from the Public Ministry, supported by dozens of inspectors from the Judiciary Police and judges from the Central Court, carried out searches at the airline on suspicion of crimes in the privatization process of the Portuguese airline in 2015.
At issue is the suspicion of crimes such as offering and receiving an undue advantage, qualified fraud and economic participation in a business.
