Trump says he will ‘work’ for peace in Sudan at Saudi prince’s request

The American president, , stated that he will “work” to end the war after the crown prince of ,, asked him for help in ending the conflict.

Since April 2023, Sudan has faced a conflict between the Sudanese Army and the Rapid Support Forces (FAR) paramilitaries, which has caused thousands of deaths and displaced almost 12 million people.

“His Majesty wants me to do something very important in relation to Sudan. It was not in my plans to get involved in this, I thought it was something unreasonable and out of control”, declared Trump at a business forum.

“But I see how important this is for you and for many of your friends present here. And we are going to start working in Sudan”, he said.
