Trump to a journalist: “Silence, silence, little pig”

El Periódico

new insult of President Donald Trump to a journalist who was uncomfortable for him. “Hush, hush, little pig”the president snapped at a reporter in response to a question about his evasions about the ‘Epstein case’a billionaire accused of pedophilia and sexual abuse to whom some emails supposedly link him. The embarrassing scene occurred aboard the presidential plane ‘Air Force One’.

Was Catherine Lucey, Bloomberg White House correspondentwho asked Trump on the presidential plane about the declassification of documents in the case of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

There is no doubt that this issue has become a thorn in Trump’s side because hours before, in the White House, he threatened to withdraw the accreditation to the ABC news networkspecifically to the journalist Mary Bruceto whom he recommended learning her trade. The journalist asked him why he did not order the Department of Justice to publish Epstein’s papers and waited for Congress to approve it. “I think you’re a terrible reporter,” said Trump, who also threatened to withdraw ABC’s operating license.

Criticism of the journalistic guild

The Bloomberg agency issued a statement saying its White House journalists “provide an essential public service, asking questions without fear or favor.” The president’s behavior has unleashed a wave of unanimous criticism between the journalistic union.

The pressure on the president has increased since emails from Epstein addressed to his “inner circle” have come to light in which he says that Trump “knew about the girls” and that he “spent hours” at his house with a victim. These emails increase the public doubt about the extent to which Trump was aware of Epstein’s activities.
