At an elementary school in Hradec Králové, two children and one adult burned themselves on Thursday afternoon during an interest group. The police intervened on the spot together with rescuers and firefighters, the police said on the X social network. According to the server iDNES.cz, an explosion occurred during chemical experiments on the ring, reports TASR in Prague.
“During a school activity at one of the elementary schools in Hradec Králové, three people were injured. It concerns thermal injuries of one adult and two minors,” the police said, saying that they are carrying out standard procedural actions at the scene and are investigating the circumstances. According to the iDNES.cz server, a volatile substance ignited during the interest ring and an explosion followed. According to them, the reported fire was already extinguished after the arrival of the firemen.
The Ambulance Service (ZZS) of the Králové Hradec Kraj region specified on the X network that it left the adult on the spot after treatment, one child patient was transported to a hospital in Hradec Králové and the other was airlifted to the burn center of the Královské Vinohrady University Hospital in Prague. “Due to their age, we will not comment further on the extent of the injuries,” the rescuers added.
