There is also the National Day of the Absurd, along with an initiative that, despite seeming… absurd, is above all supportive.
Today, November 20th, marks the National Pajama Day. It seems like a dispensable celebration, but it actually has a strong solidarity aspect.
The day, focused on the youngest, is supposed to be more fun, to play spontaneously; but it is also educational – the idea that everyone can dress as they want – and supportive.
Solidarity because one of the priorities is to promote the right of all children to grow up in a family.
In practice, children from schools or daycare centers go to school dressed in pajamas to gain greater awareness of the importance of family support and help other children who do not have a family.
In some educational establishments, pajamas or other clothes are also collected the previous few days to donate.
The initiative is celebrated on the day of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
