Drama in St. Petersburg, the Polish ambassador was attacked: Krajewski described what happened!

  • The incident took place during a walk.
  • The diplomat claims that the attack was an organized and targeted action.
  • After the incident, the ambassador sent a note of protest to the Russian authorities.

Poland’s ambassador to Russia, Krzysztof Krajewski, said he was the target of an attack in St. Petersburg on Sunday. A group of people first attacked him verbally and then tried to attack him physically, which was prevented by the ambassador’s personal security. He confirmed the incident on Thursday in an interview with the Polish news agency PAP, reports the Warsaw correspondent TASR.

According to Krajewski, this was another act of hostility towards him and the staff of the Polish diplomatic mission. He said the attack happened during a walk when the group started insulting him and chanting anti-Polish and anti-Ukrainian slogans. They then tried to physically attack him.

According to the diplomat, the attack did not happen randomly, but was a pre-planned action. “If an organized group with banners attacks a person walking down the street, it cannot be said to be a coincidence,” he stated. At the same time, he added that thanks to the professionalism of the security guards, the attack did not end in physical injury. Krajewski informed that after the incident he sent a note of protest to the Russian authorities.
