The star of “The Survivor”, Glen Powell37, chose give truth to production which mixes adrenaline and tension taking on some risks for action scenes.
For the CNN Brazilthe actor revealed that he had made a according to the director, Edgar Wrightt, for the adrenaline scenes to be produced in the most realistic way possible – so that the audience also felt the adrenaline. “The pact that Edgar and I made was, ‘How can we actually do this?’ Then I realized that I had to put my body at risk to give the public that experience, and I’m very, very happy to have done that.”
He adds that this is his first work with the award-winning director, whose CV is “Getting Away” and “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” and that their shared passion for cinema meant: “We developed a language about how much we love movies. And that made the set special: Edgar loves movies, I love movies, and we love it when movies fit“.
“So being able to play Ben Richards and live inside this world was incredibly special, because Edgar has been one of my favorite filmmakers for so many years.”
Powell plays a family man desperate for money — which leads him to sign up for a dead reality showl, where it needs to survive for 30 days while it is pursued by professional killers to win the program and a millionaire amount. The production, which is based on a book by Stephen King, is a complete treat for those who love genre films.
