Known on social media for sharing her “alternative gothic motherhood”, music teacher Talita Ximendes, 31, went viral when she gave birth to her first daughter, Hécate Hadassa, on October 31st — simply Halloween.

To the MetropolisesTalita told details about Hecate’s arrival. During the 9 months of pregnancy, she planned for a natural birth, but discovered, at 8 months, that the baby was sitting up and it would be necessary to have a cesarean section.

The surgery, according to her, was initially scheduled for October 26th, but ended up being postponed due to the flu.

“On the 25th, I caught the flu. The day before the cesarean section, I went to the maternity ward early in the morning and asked them to cancel the surgery, because I had a bad cold, was coughing a lot and my post-operative period was going to be very bad”, he explained.

Tali, as she is known on her Instagram, said that the doctor examined her and, as she was not dilated, it would be possible to postpone the cesarean section. The pregnant woman then spent the following week taking syrup and began to feel better. So, intentionally in the early hours of the 31st, she went to the maternity ward to give birth to her daughter.

Arriving at the hospital, Talita was informed again that she was not yet dilated. She was advised to return home and the procedure was scheduled for 7:30 am. The teacher then asked for the cesarean section to take place a little later, as her husband would be working and they needed to organize things, to which the doctor said yes.
