The most popular destinations are the cities on the coast of the state
Around 3 million vehicles will be circulating on this Black Awareness Day holiday until Sunday (23), only on state highways that lead to the coast and the Vale do Paraíba region, in the state of , according to the Department of Highways (DER-SP). During this period, according to DER-SP, the Special Operation Black Consciousness is in force, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety and fluidity of traffic.
“Among the planned initiatives are the inspection and monitoring of sections with the highest circulation; control and organization of access to specific points; and the release of shoulders and use of reversible lanes”, informed the agency.
City of São Paulo
In the capital of São Paulo, where the Traffic Engineering Company (CET) estimates that 2.5 million vehicles will travel this holiday, mainly towards the coast and interior.
According to CET, the flow of people is also intense in the city’s three main bus terminals. The estimate is for the movement of 619 thousand passengers this holiday, with 712 extra buses expected to be mobilized.
According to the company Socicam, which operates the terminals, the most popular destinations are: Rio de Janeiro, Angra dos Reis, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte and Litoral de São Paulo. The military police reported that around 500 police officers were deployed to reinforce security in the modal.
