Start watering your crassula with this. It will produce star-like flowers

Crassula ovata, also called the happiness tree, is a popular succulent. It delights with its fleshy, green leaves, but it can be even more beautiful if it produces flowers. However, for this to happen, we must take proper care of it and implement fertilization. A natural conditioner made from some waste comes to the rescue.

First of all, we choose a suitable position for the crassula. A bright, sunny place will be best. There is no way of putting out flowers if we place it in the back of the room or on the northern windowsill.

Temperature also plays an important role in the flowering of the happiness tree. The house is at room temperature, which makes it impossible for flowers to sprout. Therefore, it should be between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.

The specimen is planted in a permeable substrate. It would be good if it had sand or perlite added. We choose a pot with drainage holes so that the water can flow freely.

Crassula does not need frequent watering because it is a succulent and stores water in its leaves. If we overwater the plant, its roots will start to rot and the leaves will fall off and it will not bloom in such conditions. In spring and summer, it is enough to water it every week, while in winter we limit this treatment to once every three weeks. We use soft, settled water and pour out the excess liquid from the stand. We also avoid soaking the leaves and shoots, as this leads to fungal diseases.

The happiness tree will not produce flowers if it is exposed to environmental stress. Therefore, we cannot expose it to drafts or place it near radiators. Temperature fluctuations cause the plant to become weakened.

Crassula will bloom only if we feed it with appropriate fertilizer, i.e. one that provides minerals, such as potassium and phosphorus. When using nitrogen nutrients, expect only the development of new leaves.

We don’t have to go to the garden store to buy specialized fertilizer. Instead of throwing away coffee grounds, we can give them a second life by making a natural conditioner out of them for the tree of happiness to bloom.

How to make a natural conditioner for Crassula? It’s very simple. Just scatter coffee grounds in a pot and water the flower. We perform this treatment every 2-3 weeks.

By following the above care rules and fertilizing the specimen with coffee grounds, it is very possible that we will finally see flowers. Such a plant will be a wonderful decoration for Christmas. It will create competition.
