At the Chamber meeting held this Thursday, the proposals for setting the rates of the IMI (Municipal Property Tax), which is levied on the IRC (Corporate Income Tax) and participation in IRS (Personal Income Tax).

President Mário Passos argues, in a statement sent to ZAP, that this is a sign of “municipal government family friendly but, at the same time, rigorous, responsible and that would not jeopardize the financial efficiency of the municipality”.

“This decision to maintain the values ​​of municipal taxes next year, namely the IMI which is already very close to the minimum rate, is precisely in line with this combination of factors that for us is fundamental for the balance of municipal accounts”, continues the president (PSD) of the Famalicão City Council.

O IMI went down twice in the last two years; now it’s in us 0.335% – the minimum is 0.30%. Node IRS, the rate remains at 4,5%. O IRC stay hairy 1,2% on the profits of companies – but only those with a turnover exceeding 250 thousand euros (others are exempt).
