Nicolas’ speech continued on social media: “Doing a soap opera in Brazil is more than acting. It’s honoring a tradition. The soap opera is sacred. Nobody does it like we do. It’s to watch the soap opera that the family sits together. It’s the common subject. It’s the entertainment at the kebab stand, next to the bus stop. It’s the company in a hospital bed”, he celebrated.
He extended his thanks to the soap opera and the network: “‘Mania de Você’ was that for me: a deep dive into the soul, an encounter with my fears, an invitation to courage. And today, here in Cancún, holding this award, I realize that it’s not just mine. It’s all ours! Thank you, TV Globo, for bringing me here, for being my home and for giving me the greatest gifts of my career!”
“It’s in your hand! It’s from Brazil that moves the world. It’s from every artist, every technician, every look that believed. Art changes lives. Mine changed”, concluded Nicolas, who plays the villain in “A Nobreza do Amor”, the next 6pm soap opera on Globo.
