The selection process court for agents has invalidated one of the exercises of the . This is the second point of the test carried out this Wednesday, in a contest where agents were sought to fill 13 positions in the armed institution. The City Council (PP and Vox) has confirmed that the question was exactly the same as the one it had prepared last August and has announced that the new exercise will be agreed upon in the near future and will be repeated to all the candidates applying for those city security positions.
“The decision has been adopted unanimously after verifying that part of the statement of the practical case raised in said exercise literally coincided with material prepared by an opposition preparation academy, released last August,” the council argues in a statement, in which it points out that this “could be detrimental to equal opportunities between applicants.”
The municipal government has detailed that the annulled part is the second section of the so-called “knowledge test.” The opposition. First, it begins with a physical fitness challenge for the candidates and then the theoretical knowledge part, which consists of two areas: an exclusive “test-type questionnaire”, which only those who pass it can move on to the next stage, and a practical case in which potential police officers must resolve how they would react to a certain scenario during the exercise of their work.
It was this first part of the theoretical knowledge test that was carried out on Wednesday and where these “irregularities” were detected. The selection body for the oppositions was aware a few hours after the test was carried out that one point was practically identical to an exercise proposed by an academy in Valladolid, where several of those interested in accessing those public places were trained, of which there were nine free shifts, three for mobility and one reserve for troops and sailors.
The qualifying court, as reported by the Valladolid City Council in a statement, “has confirmed that the envelopes with the exercises carried out have not been opened and remain guarded, signed and sealed, thus guaranteeing the integrity of the process.” “In order to preserve the principles of equality, merit and capacity, the selection body has agreed to call the candidates again for the repetition of the second exercise in the near future,” states the message from the corporation, dates that are not known at the moment and that will be agreed upon in a meeting scheduled for Monday, November 24. No council position has offered statements or explanations beyond the official statement.
The Comisiones Obreras union has reacted with another press release showing “its concern over what appear to be possible irregularities in the selection process to fill 13 Municipal Police positions in the Valladolid City Council.” CC OO has demanded explanations from the government coalition for this fact “which raises serious doubts about the transparency and cleanliness of the process.”
The union has regretted that episodes like these generate “great discomfort” among opponents “who put their effort and dedication into play in a process that must be impartial and fair.” “The suspicion that a practical exercise may have been leaked or related to a private academy calls into question the integrity of the entire process,” they state.
