Nuno Markl’s clinical evolution continues to be closely monitored in the hospital unit where he remains hospitalized, following the stroke he suffered on Thursday, November 20th. According to SIC Notícias, the comedian is stable at Hospital de São Francisco Xavier, in Lisbon, receiving specialized monitoring while the first hours considered critical to assess the impact of the episode elapse.

The reactions became public shortly after. According to the same source, Pedro Ribeiro, director of Rádio Comercial, said during the broadcast of Manhãs da Comercial that this initial period is crucial for understanding possible consequences, highlighting that the indicators recorded so far are positive.

Impact of radio and team environment

The next broadcast of the morning program did not go unnoticed. Pedro Ribeiro described Friday morning as one of the most difficult experienced by the team, marked by uncertainty and the need for permanent updates on his colleague’s health status.

In parallel, the hospital unit itself confirmed clinical monitoring. The publication adds that the Western Lisbon Local Health Unit informed the newsrooms that the 54-year-old presenter remains hospitalized and continues to be under surveillance.

Career divided between radio and television

Markl’s presence in the media has been constant. He mentions that the communicator is one of the central voices of Rádio Comercial, where he leads the section “The Man Who Bitten the Dog”, broadcast from Monday to Friday. Furthermore, he is part of the cast of the program “Taskmaster”, on RTP, combining both formats in his daily professional life.

Shortly after the news of his hospitalization, a message released by him became public. Through social media, Markl thanked the support received and described how he faces this period of recovery, maintaining contact with the public

In the same message, the comedian recalled the impact that excessive activity can have on health. Markl wrote that he is recovering “little by little”, stressing that “we are not supermen” and that the accumulation of tasks can “tear us apart”, pointing out overwork as a possible cause for this stroke.

He also stated that he is being accompanied by a medical team in whom he has complete trust, highlighting the work of the professionals at the Hospital de São Francisco Xavier and referring to the experience as material that could inspire future editions of his radio segment.
