Donald Trump gave Ukraine less than a week to accept the US proposal, which has several points favorable to Russia
France, Germany and the United Kingdom are, together with Ukraine, working on a counterproposal to the one supported by the United States, according to three sources cited by Reuters this Friday.
The same information was confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky through a message published on the social network

The news comes a day after, on Thursday, The Telegraph newspaper revealed everyone who makes up the plan, confirming that it is a much more comfortable proposal for Russia than for Ukraine.
Among the most controversial aspects is the reduction of the Ukrainian army to just 600,000 personnel, around half of the current contingent, as well as Kiev’s obligation to give up the use of long-range missiles, particularly those capable of reaching Moscow or other more distant areas of Russian territory. Furthermore, Ukraine will be prevented from resorting to military force in the territories it has lost since 2022.
Ukraine has until Thanksgiving to accept
In an interview with Fox News Radio’s The Brian Kilmeade Show, Donald Trumo stated that he considers Thursday, Thanksgiving, as an appropriate deadline for Ukraine to accept a peace proposal supported by the United States.
“I had a lot of deadlines, but if things are going well, we tend to extend deadlines. We think Thursday is an appropriate deadline”, defended Trump this Friday, after having drawn up the 28-point plan.
