Ukraine is willing to share its drone knowledge to preserve food security and agriculture

It has three key components of food security in war, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs himself, Andriy Sybija, who has pointed out issues such as freedom in supply chains or effective action against those who alter food security.

“Our experience shows that, in times of war, food security is made up of three key elements. The first is the freedom and security of supply chains. I am grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to which maritime exports are possible today,” he noted during the inauguration of the IV International Summit on Food Security.

And, as the Ukrainian explains, The existence of these maritime and land corridors are fundamental and must function. “It is absolutely clear that as long as the Crimean peninsula remains occupied and militarized by Russia, we will not achieve full security in the Black Sea. Therefore, the deoccupation of Crimea must be the central axis of all strategies for the Black Sea,” he added, who also points out as another element the need for development alliances.

“In the coming years, demand for food will grow, especially rapidly, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Ukraine is ready, together with governments, regional development banks and the private sector, to move from one-time supplies to the development of local infrastructure, positioning and logistics centers, irrigation systems, mechanization of digital solutions and training of specialists,” he highlighted.

“We are willing to share our experience, in particular the experience in the use of drones, both to create a maritime security architecture and directly in agriculture,” he added, who finally points out as a third element action against those who upset the balance of food security.
