With expulsions and an own goal, Internacional beats Ceará and moves away from Z4

O International defeated the Ceará 2-1 away from home on Thursday night (20), in a duel valid for the 34th round of the Brasileirão.

Vitinho was the one who opened the scoring of the game, already in the middle of the second half. Minutes later, Ceará equalized with Ricardo Mathias’ own goal. Internacional’s striker made amends with the fans and found the net in the final stretch of the match at Castelão, guaranteeing the victory for Colorado.

With the result, the team from Rio Grande do Sul reached 40 points and opened up distance from the relegation zone of the Brazilian Championship, occupying 15th position. The one who opens the Z4 is Vitória, with 36 points.

Ceará parked at 42 points and remains in 14th place.

Right at the beginning of the match, three minutes into the game, attacking midfielder Vina received a red card for a harsh foul on Luis Otávio.
